HGTV has done home reno competitions on the block (“Rock the Block”) and on the beach (“Battle on the Beach”), now the cable channel will be assembling expert contractors and designers to the Rocky Mountains with the premiere of “Battle on the Mountain.” The new series premieres on Monday, Jan. 22 at 9 p.m. ET as three teams will flip homes in Breckenridge, Colorado under the direction of HGTV experts. The winning team will earn a $50,000 cash prize at the end of the six-episode season. You can watch HGTV with a 7-Day Free Trial of Philo. About 'Battle on the Mountain' Series Premiere

Home experts — and stars of their own HGTV shows — Rico León (“Rico to the Rescue”), Kim Myles (“Design Star: Next Gen”), and Kim Wolfe (“Why The Heck Did I Buy This House?”) will each mentor one team as they renovate Colorado mountain homes in this one-of-a-kind competition series. Each week, the teams will take on different rooms in the home with a cash prize on the line each episode.

A slate of HGTV all-stars will visit the homes each week to select which team pulled off the best transformation of that week’s room, but the final winner will be determined by local real estate experts who will assess which team added the most value to their home during the six weeks.
