Larry is back for one more season… unless he changes his mind. The mercurial misanthrope’s iconic, award-winning comedy series “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is back for its 12th and… probably… final season on HBO and Max on Sunday, Feb. 4. The season premiere will air at 10 p.m. ET and will see the pseudo-real life version of David deal with all sorts of annoyances in his every day life living and working in Hollywood. The 10-episode season will undoubtedly lead to many laughs, but if this truly is the end of the road, perhaps a few tears as well. You can watch with a subscription to Max.
About ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Season 12 Premiere
Over the past 24 years, everyone has gotten to know the jaded, unfriendly, and semi-antisocial version of Larry David that he portrays on “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” We have also become accustomed to the writer, star, and creator’s unreliable whims when it comes to when and how frequently the series will air. So, forgive us if we aren’t 100% sold on him never returning with a Season 13.
Nonetheless, David is approaching this final set of episodes with his signature wit and self-reflection.
“As CURB comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be - the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character,” David said, presumably tongue planted firmly in cheek. “And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”
In addition to David — who co-created “Seinfeld” — the series also stars Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, J.B. Smoove, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson, Vince Vaughn, and Tracey Ullman.
