Tom Hollander plays the famed writer in the latest season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series “FEUD” but it’s Capote’s coterie, played by Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloë Sevigny, and Calista Flockhart, who run the show. “FEUD: Capote Vs. About ‘FEUD: Capote vs. the Swans' Premiere

The second installment of Ryan Murphy’s “FEUD” anthology, based on the bestselling book Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era by Laurence Leamer, will track the rise and fall of famed writer Truman Capote (played by Tom Hollander) amongst the upper echelon of New York society—- most notably, amongst his “Swans,” his coterie of rich, glamorous socialites including grande dame Barbara “Babe” Paley (Naomi Watts), Slim Keith (Diane Lane), C.Z. Guest (Chloë Sevigny) and Lee Radziwill (Calista Flockhart).

But despite ingratiating himself into their lives, befriending them, and becoming their confidante, Capote responded by penning a thinly veiled fictionalization of their lives, exposing their most intimate secrets. And when an excerpt from the book, his planned magnum opus, is published in Esquire, his “Swans” take their revenge.

The eight-episode “FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans” will also star Demi Moore as Ann “Bang-Bang” Woodward, Molly Ringwald as Joanne Carson, Joe Mantello as Jack Dunphy, Russell Tovey as John O’Shea, Jessica Lange as Lillie Mae Faulk, and Treat Williams in his final role as Bill Paley.
