Family can be difficult, and in the case of Tom and Charlie, it can also be dangerous. In the new movie “Finestkind,” two brothers (played by Ben Foster and Toby Wallace) were raised separately but are reunited one summer as they are forced to make a perilous deal with some very powerful people. Along the way, their father (Tommy Lee Jones) and a young woman (Jenna Ortega) get caught in the crossfire, putting everyone’s relationships and lives on the line. About 'Finestkind'
Set in the world of commercial fishing, “Finestkind” tells the story of two brothers who make a deal with a Boston crime gang. Mabel, played by Ortega, gets caught in the chaos as sacrifices are made, and bonds between family and friends are tested. When the brothers’ father (Jones) becomes involved, old wounds and secrets are brought to the forefront.
Written and directed by Academy Award winner Brian Helgeland, the movie counts Paramount’s most prized creator Taylor Sheridan as one of its producers. Helgeland has been thinking about this crime thriller for over 30 years and has recently said that it is the most personal film that he has ever made.
In addition to the film’s stars, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Aaron Stanford, Tim Daly, Lolita Davidovich, Clayne Crawford, Fernanda Andrade, and others appear.
