Jerrod Carmichael returns to HBO for “Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show,” an eight-episode docuseries that follows the Emmy Award-winning standup comedian and filmmaker on a “darkly funny” and “tumultuous quest for love, sex, and truth.”
This marks Carmichael’s first HBO and Max project since 2022, when he premiered his latest standup special “Rothanial,” which won him the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. He has previously released two other specials, both with the cabler: 2014’s “Love at the Store” and 2017’s “8.” Other projects include NBC’s “The Carmichael Show” and “On the Count of Three.”
