It still might be the offseason, but MLS club Inter Miami is still making headlines as it continues the international leg of its preseason tour by heading to Saudi Arabia. Led by global superstar Lionel Messi, Inter Miami will take on Al-Hilal in the opening round of the Riyadh Season Cup 2024. The match will begin on Monday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. ET and will air exclusively in the United States on MLS Season Pass. The three-team round-robin also features Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, which Inter Miami will face on Thursday, Feb. 1. You can watch with a subscription to MLS Season Pass.

One of the biggest superstars in the world, Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates are continuing their tuneup schedule for the upcoming MLS season. The fourth of seven matches on their preseason tour, Messi and Miami will take on Al-Hilal, who is on a midseason break.

Despite winning a Leagues Cup title last year, Inter Miami has yet to win so far this preseason, dropping matches to New York, Dallas, and the El Salvadorian national team. However, Messi is getting some help this year as Inter Miami has added former Barcelona and Liverpool star Luis Suarez, who is still getting up to speed with his new club.

Al-Hilal is still without its star signing Neymar. After suffering a knee injury last fall, the club is optimistic that the Brazilian forward will be able to return in the spring or summer this year.

Lionel Messi and Inter Miami will play their second game of the Riyadh Season Cup against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. ET. However, due to a calf injury, it is not clear if the Portuguese superstar will be able to play.
