About ‘Masters of the Air’ Premiere

The Eighth Air Force arrived in Europe in 1943 with a daunting task ahead of it: to pummel the Nazi war machine with daylight bombing raids that, while devastating to the enemy would also result in high casualties to the attackers. The 100th Bomb Group lost so many men in executing these raids that it earned the nickname “The Bloody Hundredth,” but its B-17s still rose in bristling array to take the fight to the Germans.

“Masters of the Air” features an incredible ensemble cast, including Academy Award nominee Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Rafferty Law, Academy Award nominee Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook and Ncuti Gatwa. Based on the Donald L. Miller book of the same name, the series is a cinematic TV undertaking not seen since “The Pacific” or “Band of Brothers” which were also produced by Hanks and Spielberg.
