About ‘Palm Royale’ Series Premiere
Loosely based on the novel “Mr. & Mrs. American Pie” by Juliet McDaniel, “Palm Royale” is set in high society Palm Beach, Florida, year 1969. Kristen Wiig stars as Maxine Simmons, a wannabe socialite trying to break into Palm Beach high society through the town’s most exclusive resort club. As she “attempts to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots,” Maxine will learn just how much of herself she’s willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has.
The A-list ensemble also features Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Amber Chardae Robinson, Mindy Cohn, Julia Duffy, Kaia Gerber, and more, including legendary guest stars Bruce Dern and Carol Burnett.
The 10-episode period drama series was created by Abe Sylvia (“George & Tammy,” “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”).
