While Elvis might have left the building, Priscilla has just arrived. On Friday, Feb. 23, “Priscilla,” the acclaimed film from Sofia Coppola, is available to stream on Max. While dozens of shows, movies, and documentaries have looked at the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s life, precious few have done so through the eyes of his wife. The film stars Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi as Priscilla and Elvis and has been nominated for multiple awards, including at the Golden Globes. You can watch with a subscription to Max.
About 'Priscilla'
Based on the book “Elvis and Me” by Priscilla Presley with Sandra Harmon, Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla” is set to join Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” on Max on Friday, Feb. 23. The film begins as teenage Priscilla Beaulieu (Spaeny) meets Elvis Presley (Elordi) at a party.
Already a massive star, the man that Priscilla assumes Elvis will be, turns out to be far different than who he actually is. While his superstar, heartthrob persona is well-known to the public, behind closed doors, he is lonely and gentle. Spaeny, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance, takes Priscilla her relationship with Elvis from giddy crush to soulful best friend to turbulent marriage.
Joining Spaeny and Elordi in the film are Ari Cohen, Dagmara Domińczyk, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, Lynne Griffin, Dan Beirne, Stephanie Moore, Luke Humphrey, and others.
