Fresh off the success of her at-home cooking show, “Selena + Chef” superstar singer and actor Selena Gomez is back in the kitchen… of some of the hottest restaurants in Los Angeles. “Selena + Restaurant” follows Selena and her best friend, Raquelle Stevens, as they enter top-end restaurants across LA and work with famous chefs like Chung, Keith Corbin, Stephanie Izard, Andrew and Michelle Muñoz, Wolfgang Puck and Marcel Vigneron, to see if the girls have what it takes to create a dish good enough to get a spot on the menu. Each week, the celebrity chef will also highlight a charity of their choice that will see a donation on behalf of the show. Selena + Restaurant debuts with two episodes on Thursday, May 2 starting at 7 p.m. ET on the Food Network and Max. The first episode of “Selena + Restaurant” will see her headed to Chef Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant, CUT Steakhouse, in Beverly Hills. The master chef will first have her perfect one of his classic dishes before Selena and Raquelle try their hand at cooking a spicy seafood dish good enough to make the menu. Next up is Dumpling Queen Shirley Chung and Ms Chi restaurant, where the three women put a twist on one of Selena’s favorite childhood dishes. Other Los Angeles restaurants in Season One include Lemon Grove (Chef Marcel Vigneron), Moo’s Craft Barbecue (Chefs Andrew and Michelle Muñoz), Girl & the Goat (Chef Stephanie Izard), and Alta (Chef Keith Corbin). You can watch the first two episodes of “Selena + Restaurant” on Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m. ET on the Food Network and Max.
