Brilliant and innovative, Vicaria (Layla DeLeon Hayes) thinks of death as nothing more than a disease that can be cured with the right methods. When her brother is unexpectedly murdered, Vicaria thinks she knows how to bring him back to life again. The movie follows her efforts to defy death and restore her family at any cost, no matter who decides to stand in her way.
“The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster” is inspired by Mary Shelley’s classic “Frankenstein.” It also stars Denzel Whitaker and Chad L. Coleman. The film was written by Bomani J. Story, who is also making his directorial debut. The movie has chills and thrills from start to finish, as well as a heartfelt emotional core combined with an important message for audiences to contemplate.
