About 'The Barnes Bunch'
“The Barnes Bunch” documents the fun and chaos of Matt and Anansa’s lives with their six children between the ages of five and 15. Their kids include Isaiah, Carter, Ava, David, Dean, and Ashton. With Matt’s NBA experience, there is plenty of friendly competition at the basketball hoop in the driveway. In between the positive moments, there are some challenges as the couple and their kids must navigate all that comes with blending two households. Fortunately, Anansa’s mom, Beverly Johnson is happy to help with the kids, offer advice, and ask some very personal questions.
Matt and Anansa are also co-parenting with their former partners, juggling their careers, and working through their conflicts before saying, “I do.” The couple has a long history and has dated off and on for years. They got engaged in December 2022 and are eager to make things official, so wedding planning is underway. However, their relationship has hit a rough patch, which sends them to couples counseling. Will they be able to make it through this huge transition, or could they end up walking away instead of walking down the aisle?
