About ‘The Mill’
The sci-fi thriller feature film “The Mill” stars Lil Rel Howery as Joe, a devoted family man and rising star at mega-corporation Mallard in a near-future America. However, when he wakes up in an open-air prison cell with no memory of how he got there, his life quickly unravels into a nightmare.
Joe is soon put to work in the cell, which is centered around an archaic grist mill, and surrounded by screams and whispers for unseen cellmates, he must operate the mill each day as a beast of burden and meet his daily quota or face “termination.” As Joe races against time to escape before his son’s birth, he soon realizes the horrifying truth behind the facility: it’s operated by Mallard.
Howery leads the thriller opposite Pat Healy, Karen Obilom, Patrick Fischler, and others.
