Oscar-winning documentarian Errol Morris (“The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara”) takes a six-decade look into the life, career, and mind of David Cornwell, a.k.a. John le Carré, the former British spy-turned-author best known for his espionage novels including “The Spy Who Came in from the Cold,” “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,” and “The Constant Gardener.”

Set against the backdrop of the Cold War and leading into present day, “The Pigeon Tunnel” explores le Carré’s journey through a series of dramatized vignettes, rare archival footage, and his final interview before his death in December 2020.
