About Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk

On Saturday, either Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk will leave the ring as the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis claimed the honor in 1999. Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) has been boxing’s lineal champion since he upset Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015. He last fought in October when he was pushed to the limit by former UFC champ Francis Ngannou. Now he will face perhaps the most imposing challenge in his eight-and-a-half-year reign.

Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) is an Olympic gold medalist looking to make history. With a win, the Ukrainian would join Evander Holyfield as the only fighters to ever become undisputed champions as both cruiserweights and heavyweights.

Also on the card will be a match between the lineal and Ring Magazine cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia (24-0, 19 KOs) and Mairis Briedis (28-2, 20 KOs). This will be a rematch for the now-vacant IBF title. Also, Joe Cordina (17-0, 9 KOs) will defend his IBF junior lightweight world title against Anthony Cacace (21-1, 7 KO), and undefeated heavyweights Frank Sanchez (24-0, 17 KOs) and Agit Kabayel (24-0, 16 KOs) will face off in a 12-round WBC title eliminator bout.
