About ‘Under the Bridge’ Premiere
No parent should have to say goodbye to their child and send them off to spend time with their friends without knowing they’ll come back. But in 1997, young Reena Virk left home to meet up with some friends at a party. She was never seen alive by any family member again.
“Under the Bridge” is told through the eyes of Rebecca Godfrey (Riley Keough), the author who wrote about Virk’s true story in a book of the same name. The series also uses the perspective of a local police officer (Lily Gladstone) who is tasked with finding Reena’s killer and bringing justice to her family.
The show will explore the dark secrets of the group of girls who were responsible for Virk’s death, and unveil the shocking motivations of the killer herself. It’s a haunting tale of youth and innocence, and serves as a reminder that prejudices can lead to dire tragedy.
