Given COVID-19 health concerns, more kids are at home watching TV. Streamers like Canadian production company Big Bad Boo are making that easier. Its Oznoz SVOD platform is free to kids and families for the next two months, reports WorldScreen.
Oznoz supplies unlimited access — stream or download — to cartoons in 10-plus languages, including English, French, Spanish, Hebrew, Chinese and Arabic.
The streamer is geared to bilingual families and usually charges $9.99/month.
Oznoz has a wide range of family fare, including “The Bravest Knight,” “Franklin,” “Lili & Lola,” “Thomas and Friends” and “Musti 3D.” It houses 4,000 hours of content and exclusive rights to Sesame Workshop, Hit Entertainment and Nelvana shows.
In addition, three PSAs are being created, using characters from its “16 Hudson,” to educate kids about coronavirus. The 30-second videos are expected in a week, airing on Oznoz, YouTube and TVO Kids site.
“As COVID-19 forces families to stay indoors, we wanted to help parents entertain their kids responsibly,” stated Oznoz cofounder Shabnam Rezaei. “With our extensive catalogue of multilingual content for kids, we hope that families will be able to make the best of what can be a stressful and confusing time for most.”
Oznoz is accessible via website, mobile apps, smart TV and other devices.
