Reminder: This Saturday’s NFL Games Will Not Be Available on NFL Sunday Ticket; Here’s How to Watch Them

The NFL is offering three enticing games with playoff implications on Saturday, but you won’t see any of them on NFL Sunday Ticket.

The NFL season is coming down to crunch time. Week 15 has arrived, which means there are only four total games left for clubs to either stamp their ticket for the playoffs or accept a January of inactivity as their record dictates. There are three NFL games scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 16, but you won’t be able to see them with an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription.

Why Won’t Saturday’s NFL Games Be on NFL Sunday Ticket?

The reason these games won’t appear on NFL Sunday Ticket this Saturday is because they are being nationally televised by NFL Network. Sunday Ticket users are accustomed to not seeing games broadcast on ESPN or Prime Video, but the NFL Network gets fewer exclusive contests every year, so fans might not know that any games on the channel are also blacked out on Sunday Ticket.

The three games in question will feature the Minnesota Vikings against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Indianapolis Colts facing off against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Denver Broncos traveling to Detroit to take on the Lions. Each game has playoff implications for both teams, especially the Colts-Steelers tilt, as both teams are vying for an AFC wildcard spot.

How Can You Stream NFL Saturday Games for Free?

Sling TV does not offer a free trial, but it’s the cheapest way to watch NFL Network if you’ve already taken advantage of the DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo free trials. New Sling customers can sign up for Sling Blue (the package that carries NFL Network) for just $20 for their first month of service.

NFL+ carries all nationally-broadcast NFL games, and it too comes with a free trial of seven days. The reason it falls last on this list, however, is because it does not allow users to watch games live on any devices other than mobile. If you’re okay with watching these NFL Saturday contests on your phone, however, NFL+ is a great way to access them at no cost.
