Report: PlayStation Vue Customers Most Satisfied, While DIRECTV NOW Least Satisfied

According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), among the Live TV Streaming ServicesPlayStation Vue had the highest score at 78 (out of 100), unchanged from the year before. On the low end, DIRECTV NOW only earned a score of 69 (-1%), which was the worst of the Live TV Streaming Services, and only saw Sony Crackle (68) with a lower score amongst all streaming services.

Other Live TV Streaming Services, like Hulu, which is grouped with their SVOD service, and YouTube TV, which includes YouTube as a whole, scored 76 (+1%) and 75 (-1%) respectively. Sling TV saw the biggest jump of any streaming service going from 71 to 74 (+4%).

For the second year in a row, Netflix saw the highest score of any streaming service at 79 (+1%). Other streaming services like Amazon Prime Video (76), CBS All Access (75), and HBO (74), Starz (72), and Showtime (71) were also rated as part of the index.

The Video Streaming Service category averaged 76 across all services, which was significantly higher than traditional subscription television services which averaged 62 for the second year in a row. Telcos and satellite companies tended to perform above average like AT&T U-verse (69), Fios (68), Dish Network (67), and DIRECTV (66). Cable companies like Optimum (61), Cox (69), Charter (59), and Comcast (57) all were below average performers.
