Sling TV Updates Their Interface on Roku, Makes Browsing Through Shows Easier

Sling TV has been on a roll when it comes to revamping its app. Just last week Sling TV updated its Apple TV app to better match the rest of the interface. The top half of the app was made over and dedicated to offer more information as you scroll over different tiles throughout the app. Because everything is now swipe-able, it feels more efficient to move around the Apple TV App.

Now, the company is also rolling out updates to Roku devices. The app now allows you to get more information before you watch your favorite shows with a full-screen design, featuring images and information about other available seasons. Users also get an updated carousel which, when you browsing through rows of content, loops back to the beginning of the list once you reach the end.

The new update also comes with a selection color feature that allows users to easily identify where they are in a ribbon or list of content by a blue outline that appears around the current selection. The company also updated the layout of Sling TV’s player controls so users can easily play, pause and record content, as well as recall multiple recent channels.

In January, Sling also updated the grid guide, added more informative show pages, improved player controls, and better management of favorites & recordings. Other small tweaks have been made over the last few months including channel sorting, easy toggling of grid/image view, and one-click favoriting of channels.
