There are some hotly anticipated titles heading to top streaming services this week, and we’ll break down when and where to stream them.
Bit by bit, Hollywood is digging out from under the backlog of productions caused by striking actors and writers last year. Undeniably the WGA and SAG-AFTRA got much-deserved increases in pay and benefits from their decision to walk out in 2023, but the strikes led scripted TV productions to dry up for months, and studios are just getting back into the swing of things.
Fans will see some beloved favorites return to airwaves this week, along with a streaming original Star Wars title and much more. Check out the list below to see The Streamable’s top shows and movies premiering on streaming this week!
Monday, Feb. 19
‘Becoming King’ Documentary Premiere | Paramount+
David Oyelowo was nominated for a Golden Globe for 2014’s “Selma,” in which he portrayed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Now, fans can step behind the scenes of the production of that film, in order to truly understand Oyelowo’s journey from actor to famed civil rights leader.

The documentary is a fascinating look at what it takes to truly embody a role. It’s an emotional and poignant view of Oyelowo’s passionate pursuit of a truthful portrayal of King. Featuring behind-the-scenes footage, intimate home videos, and interviews with friends and mentors, no fans of the movie “Selma” can afford to miss this documentary.

John Nolan, the oldest rookie in the LAPD, has used his life experience, determination, and sense of humor to keep up with rookies 20 years his junior. Nolan has taken his licks and kept on going, determined to win his stripes no matter how much of a late start he got.

‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ Final Season Premiere | Disney+
Clone Force 99 has never faced adversity like this before. While mourning the loss of one of their own, Hunter and his friends are forced to grapple with the capture of Omega, the young female clone who has been pursued by the Empire everywhere the clones go.
Omega’s DNA holds secrets that are wanted by the Emperor himself, and she won’t be safe until she’s released from Imperial clutches. She finds Crosshair sharing her activity, but he’s a broken shell of his former self. Will the rest of Clone Force 99 be able to save them, or will the Empire’s triumph be complete?

‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Series Premiere | Netflix
This fantasy series takes place in a fictional world, where some humans have the power to control the very elements themselves. The Avatar is the only one who can master all four elements, but the last Avatar disappeared 100 years ago, and now the world needs him more desperately than ever.
Fans of the original “Avatar” animated series have been waiting for a competent live-action adaptation of the show ever since it was first released. The disastrous M. Night Shyamalan movie made some fans fear it could never be translated to live-action, but Netflix has been known for delivering well-done anime adaptations in the past.

‘The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy’ Series Premiere | Prime Video
Amazon isn’t done releasing animated series geared toward adults! “The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy” follows Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak - aliens, best friends, and intergalactically renowned surgeons - as they tackle anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs.
Judging from the voice cast of the show, there are guaranteed laughs ahead with “The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy. The series features the talents of Maya Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne, Keke Palmer, Kieran Culkin, and Sam Smith, as well as Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu.
Saturday, Feb. 24
‘Lakefront Luxury’ Season 4 Premiere | A&E, stream with a subscription to Philo
“Lakefront Luxury” follows couples as they hunt for the ultimate home on a lake. Whether it’s a vacation property or a primary residence, life is better on the lake. Each episode follows a real estate agent and a couple as they go from house to house touring the properties, weighing in on the good and the bad, and eventually deciding which home is for them.
The first couple on the “Lakefront Luxury” slate for Season 4 is Sherry and Glen, but viewers will get to see opulent lakefront views and luxurious cabins and homes in every single episode of the show’s fourth season. It’s a great, low-stakes way to escape from reality for a while, and maybe even find a new vacation home of your own!
