Is the first week of November the official start of the holiday season? Spooky Season revelers still have a couple of days left to enjoy in October before the wait for next Halloween begins, including some terrifying movies and shows heading to streaming this week. ‘Lawmen: Bass Reeves’ Series Premiere | Paramount+
The newest show from the pen of Taylor Sheridan, “Lawmen” is one of the most anticipated premieres of the entire season, regardless of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Revealing the untold story of the most legendary lawman in the Old West, “Lawmen: Bass Reeves” follows the journey of Reeves (David Oyelowo) and his rise from enslavement to law enforcement as the first Black U.S. Marshal west of the Mississippi.
Despite arresting over 3,000 outlaws during the course of his career, the weight of the badge was heavy, and Reeves wrestled with its moral and spiritual cost to his beloved family. This is the first installment in the “Lawmen” series, each season of which will center on a different historical law enforcer and their life and times.
