“Good Omens” Renewed for Third and Final Season

Some good comes with some bad. Prime Video has announced a Season 3 renewal for its fan-favorite series “Good Omens,” starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen. However, the third season will be its last.

While the British comedy series was initially launched as a limited series, its popularity led to it being renewed for a second season, which premiered this past July. The story follows fussy angel and rare book dealer Aziraphale (Sheen) and fast-living demon Crowley (Tennant), who team up to form an unlikely alliance in an attempt to stop the approaching Armageddon.

According to book and series creator Neil Gaiman, the forthcoming season will bring to life a conversation he and his co-writer, the late Sir Terry Pratchett, had nearly 35 years ago where they mapped out what happens next for their characters.

The final season of “Good Omens” will begin filming soon in Scotland to premiere on Prime Video at a later date.

Peacock Releases Trailer for Season 2 of “The Traitors”

Peacock will soon be serving up a double dose of treachery and deceit when its psychological reality competition series “The Traitors” returns next month.

Hosted by stage and screen star Alan Cumming at an ancient castle in the Scottish Highlands, “The Traitors” pits some of entertainment’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces against each other in the ultimate murder mystery game. Apple TV+ Renews “Platonic” For Second Season

The bond between Apple TV+ and its recent comedy “Platonic” has gotten even stronger. After receiving critical acclaim and becoming one of the platform’s best-performing comedies, the streamer has renewed the series, starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, for a second season.

Watch the trailer for “Platonic” Season 1 below:

Co-created, directed, and co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, “Platonic” follows a platonic pair of former best friends approaching midlife (Rogen and Byrne) who reconnect after a long rift and whose friendship becomes all-consuming.

Prime Video Orders “Obsession” to Series

Prime Video will bring Catherine Ryan Howard’s international best-selling “56 Days” to the small screen. The streamer has ordered “Obsession,” an adaptation of James Wan’s Atomic Monster, to series.

“Obsession” will follow Oliver and Ciara, who, after meeting randomly in a supermarket, fall for each other quickly and dangerously. But 56 days later, homicide investigators arrive at Oliver’s apartment to find an unidentified body brutally murdered and intentionally decomposed. Intercutting between past and present, the series blends crime, mystery, and psychological thriller.

Casting has not yet been announced, nor has a premiere date. “Obsession” will premiere exclusively on Prime Video.
