Netflix Debuts Trailer for Part 1 of “The Crown” Final Season

Closer than ever to coronation, Netflix has released the trailer for Part 1 of the sixth and final season of its hit period drama “The Crown.”

The final season of the series will span 1997-2005 with the four-episode Part One depicting the relationship between Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) and Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla) and the 1997 car crash in Paris that killed them.

The 21-time Emmy winner will also star Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Claudia Harrison as Princess Anne, Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles, Bertie Carvel as Tony Blair, and Salim Daw as Mohamed Al Fayed, as well as Rufus Kampa as Prince William and Fflyn Edwards as Prince Harry in Part 1 and Ed McVey as William, Luther Ford as Harry, and Meg Bellamy as Kate Middleton in Part 2.

Part 1 of Season 6 of “The Crown” will debut on Netflix on Nov. 16. The final six episodes will premiere four weeks later on Dec. 14.


“The Killer” Debuts Official Trailer

As David Fincher’s “The Killer” heads to select theaters today, Netflix has released the official trailer for the thriller.

Based on the graphic novel series “The Killer” written by Alexis Nolent (a.k.a Matz) and illustrated by Luc Jacamon, the feature stars Michael Fassbender as an assassin who, after a fateful near-miss, battles his employers—-and himself—-on an international manhunt he insists isn’t personal.

Charles Parnell, Arliss Howard, Sophie Charlotte, and Tilda Swinton also lead the cast.

After its theatrical run, “The Killer” will come to Netflix on Nov. 10.


Apple TV+ Announces New Docu-Series “John Lennon: Murder Without a Trial”

Apple TV+ has announced a new three-part documentary series about the death and aftermath of John Lennon entitled “John Lennon: Murder Without a Trial.”

Kiefer Sutherland will narrate the series, which is considered the most thoroughly researched examination of Lennon’s 1980 murder, having been granted extensive Freedom of Information Act requests from New York City Police Department, the Board of Parole, and the District Attorney’s office, and will feature exclusive eyewitness interviews and previously unseen crime scene photos to shed light on the life and death of the Beatles superstar and cultural icon, and the investigation and conviction of his confessed killer, Mark David Chapman.

A premiere date for “John Lennon: Murder Without a Trial” has yet to be announced, but it’s likely it will premiere on or around Dec. 8, the 43rd anniversary of Lennon’s assassination.


HBO Original Documentary “Albert Brooks: Defending My Life” Coming Next Month

HBO will shine the spotlight on one of America’s funniest funnymen next month. The HBO Original documentary “Albert Brooks: Defending My Life,” directed by Rob Reiner, will debut on the cabler on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and will be available to stream on Max.

A major force in American comedy since the late 1960s, Brooks has made his name as a writer, director, stand-up, and more, producing classics such as “Modern Romance,” “Lost in America,” and “Mother” and paving the way for future generations of clowns.

With featured interviews from comedy and cultural luminaries including Conan O’Brien, Wanda Sykes, Larry David, and more, the new documentary feature will see Brooks and his long-time friend Reiner chronicle the comedian’s career through his earliest work to present-day, exploring “the origins and evolution of [his] career, the impetus for his creativity, and the impact he has had on the world of comedy.”


“My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” Is Coming to Peacock

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3,” the latest installment in the hit “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” franchise, will begin an all-new adventure next week when the family comedy makes its exclusive streaming debut on Peacock on Nov. 3.

Written by, directed by, and starring Nia Vardalos, the three-quel takes place a year after the events of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2” and follows the Portokalos family as they travel to a family reunion in Greece.

The returning ensemble also includes John Corbett, Louis Mandylor, Elena Kampouris, Gia Carides, Joey Fatone, Lainie Kazan, and Andrea Martin.


Disney+ Drops “Dashing Through The Snow” Trailer

Disney+ continues to get into the holiday spirit, releasing a new trailer for its upcoming family comedy “Dashing Through the Snow.”

The original film will star Chris “Ludacris” Bridges as Eddie, a social worker who takes his nine-year-old daughter Charlotte (Madison Skye Validum) to work with him on Christmas Eve, where they meet a mysterious man in a red suit named Nick (Lil Rel Howery). What follows is a magical adventure that just might restore Eddie’s faith in Christmas.
