Netflix Releases “KAOS” First Look

Netflix has released the first look for its modernized Greek mythology series “KAOS,” due out on the streamer late next month!

From “The End of the F***ing World” creator Charlie Covell, the upcoming dramedy follows “a dysfunctional family (of gods)—-cruel fathers, wayward sons, discontented wives, and warring brothers”—-through the lens of power structures and the 1%.

Per the official description, the series centers on Zeus as he begins to dangerously self-destruct after he discovers a wrinkle on his forehead, believing it to be the harbinger of an ancient prophecy that foretells his destruction. He’s right to be worried, though, as once-friend, now-prisoner Prometheus plans to bring him down.

Janet McTeer stars as Hera in the upcoming Netflix Greek mythology dramedy series "KAOS," premiering in August.

Jeff Goldblum leads the cast as Zeus opposite Janet McTeer as Hera and Nabhaan Rizwan as Dionysus, with David Thewlis (Hades), Rakie Ayola (Persephone), Cliff Curtis (Poseidon), Stephen Dillane (Prometheus), Aurora Perrineau (Riddy), Killian Scott (Orpheus), Misia Butler (Caeneus), Stanley Townsend (Minos), and Leila Farzad (Ari).

The new eight-episode series will premiere in full on Thursday, Aug. 29.

“The Bear” Season 3 Premiere Sets New Records

A non-negotiable: there’s no beating “The Bear.”

The award-winning FX comedy (or dramedy) series returned for its third season late on June 26 on Hulu and Disney+ and the Season 3 premiere has already reached 5.4 million views in its first four days, setting multiple new records in the process. The current tally marks the best performance ever for an FX premiere on Hulu, as well as the most-watched season premiere for any scripted series on Hulu. Disney also reported this puts Season 3 at 24% more views than its previous highly acclaimed season, with the series receiving a “significant boost” this season following the launch of the Hulu on Disney+ bundle this past March.

Watch the trailer for Season 3 of “The Bear” below:

Created by Christopher Storer, who showruns with Joanna Calo, Season 3 of the 10-time Emmy Award-winner follows Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and the rest of The Bear staff in the early days after opening the fine dining restaurant. The ensemble also stars Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson, with Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon in recurring roles.

All three seasons of “The Bear” are available to stream now.

Ashley cut the cord in 2012 and is a fan of the New York Yankees, FC Bayern Munich, and (for balance) the Buffalo Sabres. She currently streams using a Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and her favorites to stream include "Blazing Saddles," "Six Feet Under," and "Taskmaster."
