Top 5 Titles Coming to Disney+ in January 2024: Marvel’s ‘Echo,’ ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Finale, More
December is on its way out the door, but there is plenty more to come at Disney+! This January, the House of Mouse streamer will conclude the first season of its highly anticipated, long-awaited “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” which premieres on the streamer on Wednesday, Dec. 20, but it will also premiere all episodes of the new Marvel Studios limited series “Echo,” its “Hawkeye” spinoff with Alaqua Cox leading the path to justice.
Also joining Disney+ this month will be music documentaries with subjects big and small (from Detroit Youth Choir to mega-sensation BTS), animated kids’ series like Season 3 of “Bluey,” and much more.

What are the 5 Best Shows and Movies Coming to Disney+ in January 2024?
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” Episodes 4–8 | Weekly Release (Wednesdays)
The long-awaited “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is premiering on Disney+ this Wednesday, Dec. 20, and early reviews look good, with the series adaptation of Rick Riordan’s beloved book series currently holding a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes’ aggravate. Walker Scobell leads the cast as the title demigod with Aryan Simhadri and Leah Sava Jefferies as companions Grover and Annabeth. Episodes 4–8 (titled “I Plunged to My Death,” “A God Buys Us Cheeseburgers,” “We Take a Zebra to Vegas,” “We Find Out the Truth, Sort Of,” and “The Prophecy Comes True,” respectively) will be released on the streamer every Wednesday until the finale on Jan. 31.

Marvel Studios’ “Echo” | Wednesday, Jan. 9 (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT)
The “Hawkeye” spinoff limited series, which marks the first superhero series ever to center on a Deaf and Native American character, sees Alaqua Cox reprise her role as Maya Lopez, a.k.a. Echo, who is being pursued by Wilson Fisk’s criminal empire and must return to her hometown to come to terms with her past, confront her family and legacy, and reconnect with her Native American roots. Vincent D’Onofrio, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Graham Greene, Cody Lightning, Charlie Cox, Devery Jacobs, and Zahn McClarnon make up the supporting cast. All 10 episodes will be available at once on both Disney+ and Hulu.

“BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star” Episodes 5–8 | Wednesday, Jan. 3 + 10
The eight-part docu-series about pop icons RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook (a.k.a. BTS) will premiere Episodes 5–6 on Wednesday, Jan. 3, and wrap up with Episodes 7–8 on Jan. 10. Featuring never-before-seen interviews, performances, and behind-the-scenes moments, the series chronicle’s the group’s 10-year journey through all the highs and lows.

“Choir” | Wednesday, Jan. 31
The six-part docuseries, directed by Emmy-winner Rudy Valdez, follows the Detroit Youth Choir as they prepare for the performance of a lifetime, following up their 2019 performance on “America's Got Talent.” Through the eyes of the choir’s singers and its director, Anthony White, the series follows “the highs and lows of life growing up in Detroit, navigating the challenges of balancing family, school, and athletics, all while pursuing their dreams of taking their talents to the next level and performing on one of the world’s biggest stages.”
Marvel Studios’ “Assembled: The Making of Echo” | Wednesday, Jan. 31
Marvel and “Echo” fans will get a deep dive to look forward to at the end of the month when Disney+’s “Assembled” series turns the spotlight on the groundbreaking new limited series. Following the filmmakers, cast, crew, and characters of the series, the documentary will show how production members learned American Sign Language to create a more inclusive and accessible on-set environment and which steps were taken to portray Native American culture as truthfully as possible.
