Top 5 Titles Leaving Hulu in October 2023: ‘Se7en,’ ‘Labyrinth’

As one door opens, another one closes, and although Hulu will be adding plenty of titles to keep you busy through October, once the month wraps up, the streamer will be eliminating over 100 series and movies from the platform.

If you’re planning on doing your Halloween binge-watching via Huluween, don’t expect to extend your holiday: many of the horror titles Hulu will be adding for October will be removed from the platform on October 31. All the more reason to celebrate Halloween all month long.

Evil Dead” | Tuesday, Oct. 31

What’s lost in camp is made up for in horror and gore in 2013’s entry into the “Evil Dead” franchise. A reimagining of 1981’s original “The Evil Dead,” the film stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, and Elizabeth Blackmore and follows a group of five people who, while helping one withdraw from heroin, come under attack by deadites in a remote cabin in the woods. Those hoping to satisfy their Ashy Slashy fix can still watch the Bruce Campbell-led series “Ash vs. Evil Dead,” which comes to the platform on Oct. 1.

Malignant” | Thursday, Oct. 26

The 2021 supernatural horror film from “Saw” franchise co-creater James Wan saw Annabelle Wallis as a woman who begins to have visions of people being murdered, only to realize the events are happening in the real world. Maddie Hasson, George Young, Michole Briana White, Jean Louisa Kelly, Susanna Thompson, Jake Abel, and Jacqueline McKenzie also star.

The Hills Have Eyes” | Tuesday, Oct. 31

A remake of Wes Craven’s 1977 film of the same name, the 2006 film follows a family that is targeted by a group of cannibalistic mutants after their car breaks down in the desert. Aaron Stanford, Kathleen Quinlan, Vinessa Shaw, Emilie de Ravin, Dan Byrd, Robert Joy, and Ted Levine lead the cast of the box office hit.

Labyrinth” | Tuesday, Oct. 31

Don’t forget about the babe! Jim Henson’s “Labyrinth” will leave the platform on Halloween. The musical fantasy film stars superstar David Bowie as the Jareth the Goblin King and Jennifer Connelly as the 16-year-old Sarah, who embarks on a quest to reach the center of an enormous, otherworldly maze to rescue her baby brother Toby, whom she wished away to Jareth. Toby Froud, Christopher Malcom, Shelley Thompson, and a cast of creature performers that includes Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Karen Prell, and more greats lead the classic.

Se7en” | Tuesday, Oct. 31

Widely regarded as one of the best horror movies of all time, David Fincher’s “Se7en” stars Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman as a pair of detectives on the hunt for a serial killer before he can complete a series of murders based on the Seven Deadly Sins. Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin Spacey, R. Lee Ermey, John C. McGinley, and Richard Roundtree make up the rest of the lead cast.

The Bob’s Burgers Movie
