Twitch is Now Available to Stream Your Favorite Video Gamers on Apple TV

Twitch has finally launched their Apple TV app for tvOS, after launching a public beta of the app last month. The app is similar to that on other devices like iOS, which allows you to live streams, watch video-on-demand shows, and participate in chat. The Amazon-owned company has also started to stream events like Thursday Night Football which is also available to stream from the app.

Features
  • Watch live videos of your favorite games, from blockbuster titles like Minecraft and League of Legends to little-known indie gems.
  • Tune into unique programming, from music festival live streams to exclusive video game events.
  • Discover new content with ease thanks to simple and intuitive navigation.
  • Connect with other gamers in real time with full-featured live chat.

The App will be automatically downloaded to your Apple TV, if you already have the Twitch App on your phone (with the Automatically Install Apps setting), or if not, you can download it from the App Store on tvOS.

For those into watching your favorite gamers, it’s nice that there is an option to watch in a lean back experience. While there previously was an official app on Roku, that has since been removed fro the platform. There have been third-party Twitch clients, but this is the first time that Twitch has built the streaming experience from the ground up.
