Vidgo Live Streaming Outage Reaches 7th Day, Company Expects Resolution Soon

Cord-cutters who use Vidgo have been frustrated for a week now. The live streamer has been fighting with a vendor, and all channels on the platform are unavailable. A spokesman tells The Streamable, “We expect it to be resolved any day.”

Earlier this week, Vidgo sent this letter to its customers.

Dear Valued Customer,

We’re so sorry that this service interruption has continued, and we wanted to provide you with an update on our efforts. As the result of an unexpected vendor dispute, our team has been working tirelessly to resolve this outage and fully restore your service.

While we’d much rather be sharing the news that your service is back up and running, we do want to make sure that you have the following information:

You will be receiving a two-week credit off your next bill to compensate for the outage.

Additionally, you will receive a $10 discount on your Vidgo bill each month for the next 6 months.

As a Vidgo customer you have access to TV Everywhere content from our partners through their apps and website. (More TV Everywhere information). For example, you can watch the NFL on the FOX or NFL Network apps, Roku, Apple, Firestick and on their websites. To access TV Everywhere select Vidgo as your service provider, and enter your Vidgo user name and password. Here is a tutorial on using TV Everywhere

We deeply value your loyalty as we work through this issue and will provide additional updates as they become available.

Vidgo offers 23 or the top 35 cable channels, including A&E, BET, Comedy Central, Discovery, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, ESPN, Food Network, Fox News, Freeform, FX, FXX, Hallmark Channel, HGTV, History, Investigation Discovery, Lifetime, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, TLC, Travel Channel, and VH1.

The Streamable will continue tracking this outage and will report when it has been resolved.

Vidgo

Vidgo is a live TV streaming service that includes live entertainment, lifestyle, news, and sports channels for only $69.99/month.

The service has locals from ABC and FOX in select markets, as well as entertainment channels from A&E Networks, Disney, Discovery, Viacom, and sports channels like beIN Sports, ESPN, ESPNU, NFL Network, NFL RedZone, and Pac-12 Network

The service includes top cable channels like A&E, BET, Comedy Central, Discovery, Food Network, HGTV, and Nickelodeon. You can see Vidgo’s full channel lineup below.

It is most notably missing channels like Bravo, E!, TBS, TNT, and USA Network, and major sports networks like MLB Network, NBA TV, and USA Network.

The biggest knock on the service is that it only has a 20 Hour DVR. If you are looking to subscribe to a more full featured service today, we suggest checking out Hulu Live TV for a full streaming service or Philo for a similarly priced entertainment-only option with an Unlimited DVR.
