VIZIO Upgrades Speed, Experience on All Smart TVs; Including New Quantum Pro Models

The smart TV manufacturer is releasing an update that will improve the experience of navigating its menus for all users.

There’s nothing worse than turning on your TV to watch your favorite show or a sporting event you’ve been looking forward to, only to have your smart TV take forever to load, or for it to take way too long just to move from one tile to another. Just in time for the holidays, VIZIO is giving owners of its smart TVs a special gift as the manufacturer is updating the software on all of its current TV models with faster loading, improved navigation, and smoother search options.

On Thursday, the company announced that it was introducing a new VIZIO Home software update for all of its TVs, including the new Quantum Pro 4K QLED Smart TV models, that would use an innovative cloud-based infrastructure to make powering on the TVs faster and will provide smoother and more intuitive responsiveness for users. The company has also improved both its voice and text-searching experiences. The update has resulted in a power-on experience that is twice as fast as it was before, and once the device is on, it is much easier — and quicker — to jump between apps.

“VIZIO is synonymous with innovation. We are leveraging more than 20 years of TV experience to provide users with value, beyond the initial point of purchase, creating an ever-evolving home entertainment experience,” VIZIO VP of product management Steve Yum said. “Our commitment to delivering the latest and greatest technology remains unwavering as we introduce the new VIZIO Home to users, and we look forward to them experiencing a faster and more responsive platform in the comforts of their homes.”

Notable enhancements to VIZIO Home include:

  • Instant Loading: VIZIO says that viewers are now able to jump straight to their favorite content without interruption or prolonged loading of apps. The process of powering your VIZIO smart TV on has also gotten faster, with TVs loading up to twice as fast.

  • Seamless Navigation: The smart TV manufacturer has introduced a new left-side navigation menu which is designed to make browsing quicker. VIZIO has also made the controls more responsive in an effort to make the navigation experience effortless.

  • Rapid Content Discovery: VIZIO has improved the speed to get recommendations and results whether you are searching via voice or text.

  • Effortless Multitasking: The company has also made it easier to move between streaming apps. VIZIO has improved its speeds when switching from one app to another with VIZIO Home.

What VIZIO Smart TVs Are These Updates Available On?

VIZIO has made the updates and upgrades available on all of its current TV models, so if you have one of the company’s smart TVs, once you receive the latest update, you should see the improvements. However, if this holiday season you are shopping for a new smart TV, VIZIO has a number of options that might fit your needs.

Recently, the company introduced the latest Quantum Pro Smart TV series, which delivers new levels of color and brilliance, as well as “a premium picture from every angle.” The Quantum Pro’s wide viewing angle and anti-reflective film allow viewers to experience all the action in stunning contrast and brightness no matter where they’re sitting and in bright environments.

While the new, cutting-edge Quantum Pro Smart TVs are impressive, they are not the only devices that VIZIO offers with great picture and improved speed and navigation.
