Discovery announced today that it has partnered with Tiger Woods to bring exclusive to content to their streaming service, GolfTV.
The content will include weekly practice and instructional videos, as well as behind-the-scenes access of Tiger’s preparation for PGA Tour rounds, and post-round commentary.
The streaming service which will launch in January, will only be available outside the U.S. Discovery and the PGA Tour agreed to a $2 billion, 12-year deal to bring more than 2,000 hours of live action every year.
The content produced with Tiger Woods will be owned globally, so there is an opportunity for the content to be distributed either on a Discovery-owned network or through a distribution partner.
