About ‘Minx’
The show is set in 1971 and is centered around Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond), an idealistic young writer who has spent most of her life dreaming of launching a magazine centered around her feminist ideals. She pitches this idea to members of the magazine publishing elite, but it is not well-received.
One potential backer, much to her dismay, is Doug (Jake Johnson), an unapologetic porn publisher and the only one willing to give Joyce a shot. The partnership kicks off and Dough morphs Joyce’s magazine into something more playful and more openly erotic. He also brings her along to nude model castings and educates her on various human experiences… and of human organs.
