Viacom’s Pluto TV has debuted a new, conservative channel called First. The channel, which is currently in beta mode has apparently been in the works for about a year and might be the competitor to Fox News, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As it stands, First has two shows on it— I’m Right w/Jesse Kelly helmed by Jesse Kelley, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former congressional candidate in Arizona and The Buck Sexton Show, headed by Sexton, a syndicated talk-radio host.
The Hollywood Report also reports that First comes from an undisclosed third-party partner, which isn’t an anomaly as Pluto TV also has a Fox Sports-branded channel, CNN, and the NFL Channel.
Pluto TV, which reached 18 million users back in August is also home to another conservative, Newsmax-branded channel. The ad-supported streaming service also houses other channels such as Baywatch, Degrassi, Yo! MTV Raps, MTV Cribs and more.
