This joins a number of platforms the company has recently added in order to compete with services like Tubi, Xumo, and Sinclair-owned STIRR. To do that, they have expanded the distribution of the service to millions of new streamers through partnerships including with Comcast — on their Xfinity X1 and Flex platform, and Charter — through their Contour Platform.
Pluto TV has been aggressively adding new networks to the service. Just this week, they added over a dozen new channels to the platform including CBSN New York, CBSN Los Angeles, TODAY, SportsGrid, Court TV, Crank Yankers, as well as some new kids’ channels, Pluto TV Animation, Nick Movies, Nick Games, Pluto TV Tween and Pocket.Watch. Many of the new additions come from their parent Viacom (and co-parent CBS).
