Netflix Announces Premiere for Zack Snyder’s “Twilight of the Gods”
The gods are smiling down at Netflix, where Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated “Twilight of the Gods” has set its premiere date.
The all-new Norse mythology-centered animated series from the “Rebel Moon” director is set in “a mythical world of great battles, great deeds, and great despair” where the mortal king Leif is saved on the battlefield by the iron-willed warrior Sigrid, with whom he falls in love. On their wedding night, they survive a wrath of terror from Thor that ends them and a crew of crusaders on a mission for vengeance.

The voice cast will be led by Sylvia Hoeks, Stuart Martin, Pilou Asbaek, John Noble, Paterson Joseph, Rahul Kohli, Jamie Clayton, Kristopher Hivju, Peter Stormare, Jamie Chung, Lauren Cohan, and Corey Stoll, among others.
“Twilight of the Gods” will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, Sept. 19.
“Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Trailer Out Now
Cowabunga! Paramount+ has released the first official trailer for its upcoming 2D animated series “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” a sequel series to last year’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.”
Set in the same universe as the film, the new series will explore the adventures of Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey as they are faced with new threats and team up with old allies to survive both teenage life and villains lurking in the shadows of the Big Apple.

Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, and Brady Noon will reprise their roles as the pizza-loving quartet, as will Ayo Edebiri in the role of April O’Neil. Additional guest stars will include Pete Davidson as Rod, a lazy rich kid who loves Mutants so much that he’ll do everything in his power to become one, and Alanna Ubach as Bishop, a brilliant inventor who believes mutants are the greatest danger to humanity and that all of them, including the Turtles, must be eliminated. Additional guest stars will be announced at a later date.
All 12 episodes of “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” will debut exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada on Friday, Aug. 9.
“The Boys” Will End After Season 5
“The Boys” has nearly concluded its mission.
Announced on Twitter by showrunner Eric Kripke on Tuesday, the hit Prime Video superhero satire series will end after the fifth season. The news comes ahead of the long-awaited Season 4 premiere, which comes this Thursday, June 13 on the streamer.
The dark comedy is set in a world run by superhero mega-corporation Vought and follows the fight between heroes and the title “Boys,” a group of humans whose lives have in one way or another been ruined by the supes. In the upcoming fourth season, the world is on the brink with Victoria Neuman closer to the Oval Office than ever, and the Boys must work together (with or without Butcher) to save the world before it’s too late.

Paramount+ Announces Premiere Date for Melissa Etheridge Docuseries
Paramount+ has announced the premiere date for “Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken,” a two-part docuseries directed by Brian Morrow and Amy Scott.
Through a story of healing, transcendence, and the power of music, the series focuses on five female residents from the Topeka Correctional Facility, a women’s prison in Kansas, who wrote letters to the Grammy-winning rockstar and activist that she then used as inspiration to create and perform an original song for them. The docuseries will also explore themes of “female incarceration, redemption, substance abuse, generational trauma, grief, and healing” with initiatives through the Women’s Prison Association (WPA).

“Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken,” will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ on Tuesday, July 9, in the U.S. and Canada. The series will have its world premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film & TV Festival this Friday, June 14.
“Tokyo Vice” Canceled By Max
This is your departure call. Max’s crime drama “Tokyo Vice,” starring Ansel Elgort, has come to an end after two seasons.
Loosely inspired by Jake Adelstein’s first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat with Elgort playing the American journalist, the series follows Adelstein as he relocates to Tokyo and secures a job at a major Japanese newspaper, becoming their first foreign journalist, where he must delve into the dark and dangerous underbelly of the city.

The series concluded its 10-episode second season in April. Since its premiere in 2022, the series has received consistent acclaim, currently clocking an 89% Tomatometer and 92% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes.

“Vikings: Valhalla” Debuts Final Season Trailer
The final battle is upon us. Netflix has released the trailer for the final season of its historical saga “Vikings: Valhalla,” premiering next month on the streamer.
Set in the early 11th century, “Vikings: Valhalla” chronicles the heroic adventures of history’s most famous Vikings, including Leif Eriksson, his sister, Freydis, and the Norwegian prince Harald Sigurdsson. Season Three finds our heroes seven years after the conclusion of Season Two. Freydis is now the undisputed leader of pagan Jomsborg, and Leif and Harald have achieved glory in Constantinople. But greater challenges lie ahead in order for each to reach their ultimate destiny.
The third and final season of the drama series will take place seven years after the conclusion of Season 2 see the series’ heroes in pursuit of a new Viking home and must travel further than they ever have. Now, with Freydis the undisputed leader of pagan Jomsborg and Leif and Harald having achieved glory in Constantinople, they must conquer greater challenges ahead for each to reach their ultimate destiny.
