About Grey’s Anatomy
Season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy kicks off with an episode titled “Here Comes the Sun.” The premiere features the people of Seattle enjoying themselves at the Phoenix Fair following the long months of COVID lockdowns. A patient sees the Grey Sloan team after coming into contact with illegal fireworks. Bailey searches for new doctors to hire with very little luck. Owen and Teddy prepare to move forward in their engagement. Meredith goes way back while connecting with a doctor her mother knew.
This season will look a little bit different as a few favorite doctors are leaving the cast. Dr. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) is no longer on the show after appearing for 12 seasons. After a four-season run, Dr. Tom Koracick (Greg Germann) is leaving as well. Dr. Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) has departed, too.
However, viewers will enjoy meeting Dr. Alan Hamilton (Peter Gallager) during the new season. Dr. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) returns for the first time since 2012. Other familiar faces returning include Dr. Megan Hunt (Abigail Spencer) and Dr. Ellis Grey (Kate Burton).
