Quibi is adding to its Daily Essentials shows.
The first is “The Rachel Hollis Show,” featuring the motivational speaker and best-selling author. Hollis, who claims an online fanbase of 3.5 million, will use Quibi as a daily platform to extend her motivational expertise.
Hollis describes the talk show as “inspirational but irreverent. It’s lifestyle meets real life.” Laughter is a key element; the program is meant to be motivational and fun.
The daily show, minute-long info bites, is geared to women and mothers and produced by The Hollis Company’s 3% Chance Productions and Den of Thieves.
The second show, “The Nod With Brittany & Eric,” stars Brittany Luse and Eric Eddings. An extension of the Gimlet podcast of the same name, the show supplies a black culture perspective to listeners. Each episode addresses pop-culture trends and current headlines.
Luse says of the upcoming Quibi show: “Now we’re taking it to the next level by sharing our joy and curiosity for black culture with our audience every day.” She adds Quibi is an opportunity to “make the show bigger and more dynamic.”
“The Nod With Brittany & Eric” is produced by Citizen Jones and Gimlet Media.
The final addition, “Sexology With Shan Boodram,” helps viewers chart the intricacies of sex and relationships. Millennials spend hours each week on dating apps; Boodram’s goal it to help them form better connections.
“Everyone should have access to tools to become their own sex and relationship expert,” says Boodram, a certified intimacy coach.
The show will be produced by Curly One Productions.
