Netflix experienced outages across the globe today. According to Fox Business, the streaming service was showing an error message for users in the U.S., as well as across Europe and parts of Asia. The outages came as a surprise to many customers as there was no prior warning.
According to the outage tracking site, Down Detector, users from Japan, China, the Netherlands and other countries reported issues playing TV shows and movies on the streaming service. The Netflix website said the platform was “experiencing issues streaming on all devices” and they were working to resolve the issue.
On Twitter, the Netflix support account also issued a statement, apologizing to subscribers. “Hey everyone. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and we’re working hard to fix this issue as quickly as possible,” the tweet read.
