Tubi Debuts in Mexico, Increases International Visibility

Tubi has launched its free movie-TV service in Mexico. The streamer claims over 20,000 titles and a large millennial audience.

The AVOD platform has an extensive library of Spanish-language titles from Latin America and the U.S. Its inventory is thanks to TV Azteca, one of the largest producers of Spanish-language content in the world. TV Azteca will also handle advertising sales for Tubi in Mexico.

For example, TV Azteca will stream popular shows such as “Exatlón Mexico,” “MasterChef,” “Montecristo” and “Amor en Custodia.”

To extend its reach, Tubi has partnered with TV brand Hisense and its VIDAA smart OS in Mexico. The streamer will be clearly displayed on the VIDAA TV homepage, with a “VIDAA Free” content section prominent on the platform and remote button.

Service is also accessible via iOS and Android mobile devices.

“Tubi’s launch in Mexico continues to demonstrate our vigorous expansion effort to additional regions in the world,” said Farhad Massoudi, CEO of Tubi. Alberto Ciurana, Chief Content & Distribution Officer for TV Azteca, added: “Tubi is an ally to reach an even broader audience.”
