“Ripley” Starring Andrew Scott Gets Teaser

Netflix has a question for you: who is Tom Ripley?

The streamer has given a premiere date and first official teaser for the upcoming limited series “Ripley,” based on the series of bestselling novels from Patricia Highsmith and starring Andrew Scott.

Scott plays Ripley, a grifter scraping by in early 1960s New York who is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy to try to convince his vagabond son to return home, catapulting him into a complex life of deceit, fraud, and murder.

Dakota Fanning and Johnny Flynn will co-star opposite Scott with additional casting including Elliot Sumner, Maurizio Lombardi, Margherita Buy, and John Malkovich.

“Ripley” premieres exclusively on Netflix on Thursday, April 4.


Prime Video Announces “Invincible” Season 2 Part 2 Premiere

The wait is over for more of Season 2 of “Invincible.” On the 21st birthday of the groundbreaking comic book it’s based on, the critically acclaimed adult animated superhero series has announced its return, with the second half of Season 2 scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on Thursday, March 14.

“Invincible” follows 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who is just like every other guy his age, except his father, Nolan, a.k.a. Omni-Man is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his 17th birthday, Mark begins to develop superpowers of his own, kicking off events decades in the making. Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in Season 1, Mark must rebuild his life and his family while facing a host of new threats and battling his greatest fear: that he’s more like his father than he ever thought possible.

Steven Yeun leads the voice cast opposite J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth Rogen, and more. The first half of Season 2 debuted this past November and holds a 100% Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes.

“Invincible” will premiere the second half of its eight-episode second season on March 14 with four new episodes airing weekly through the finale on April 4.


Hulu Acquires Bon Jovi Docuseries

It’s now or never: Hulu has acquired “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story,” a four-part, all-access docu-series about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.

The project is the first-ever docu-series chronicling the band’s history, providing an all-access look at four decades with full cooperation from all past and present members.

Directed by Emmy winner Gotham Chopra, the four-part “Thank You, Goodnight” will follow the iconic band and its frontman, Jon Bon Jovi, documenting the path from inception to the present day with “personal videos, unreleased early demos, original lyrics, and never-before-seen photos that chronicle the journey from Jersey Shore clubs to the biggest stages on the planet.”

“Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story” premieres on Friday, April 26, on Hulu.


“The Marvels” Comes to Disney+ Next Month

Following its Nov. 10 theatrical release and run, “The Marvels” is coming home to Disney+.

The 33rd and latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “The Marvels” is a sequel to 2019’s “Captain Marvel” and stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, a.k.a. Captain Marvel, who has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with two other superheroes—-Jersey City super-fan, Kamala Khan (a.k.a. Ms. Marvel) and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau—-and they must work together to save the universe.

Peacock Limited Series “Apples Never Fall” Gets Teaser and Premiere Date

Liane Moriarty’s (“Big Little Lies,” “Nine Perfect Strangers”) latest small-screen adaptation is set for its premiere. Peacock has released the official teaser for the upcoming limited series adaptation of “Apples Never Fall,” starring Annette Bening, Sam Neill, and more.

Based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, the story centers on the seemingly picture-perfect Delaney family, led by former tennis coaches Stan (Neill) and Joy (Bening), who have sold their successful tennis academy and are ready to start what should be the golden years of their lives with their four adult children. But everything changes when a wounded woman knocks on their door, initially bringing excitement to their lives… until Joy suddenly disappears.

The miniseries will also star Jake Lacy, Alison Brie, Conor Merrigan-Turner, and Essie Randles with Katrina Lenk, Timm Sharp, Nate Mann, Paula Andrea Placido, Pooja Shah, and Quentin Plair appearing in guest roles.

All seven episodes of “Apples Never Fall” will premiere on Peacock on Thursday, March 14.


Disney+ Unveils New Trailer for Final Season of “The Bad Batch”

It’s the final batch of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch.” Disney+ has released the trailer for the third and final season of the acclaimed animated series, which will kick off on Wednesday, Feb. 21.

In the final season, per the logline, “the Batch will have their limits tested in the fight to reunite with Omega as she faces challenges of her own inside a remote Imperial science lab. With the group fractured and facing threats from all directions, they will have to seek out unexpected allies, embark on dangerous missions, and muster everything they have learned to free themselves from the Empire.”
