There are more traitors among us! Peacock has announced the upcoming Season 3 cast of its acclaimed competition-reality series “The Traitors.”
Alan Cumming will return as the series host, with a cast of 21 new contestants participating in the third season:

Set in a remote castle deep in the Scottish Highlands, Cumming hosts 21 larger-than-life personalities who come together to compete in a series of missions to earn a cash prize of up to $250,000. But hidden amongst the Faithful contestants are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the other side and claim the prize for themselves. The Traitors can “murder” contestants one by one under the cover of darkness, but if the Faithful can fight back and banish all the Traitors before the end of the game, they’ll split the pot.
The second season of “The Traitors” was the number-one unscripted series in the United States across all streamers during its launch week and the most-watched reality series debut on Peacock. The first season recently won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program.
The premiere date for Season 3 will be announced at a later date.
Netflix’s “Wallace & Gromit” Movie Gets Title, Cast Reveal
Everyone’s favorite cheese-loving inventor and his beloved pooch are back. A voice cast and title have been announced for the next “Wallace & Gromit” movie, as the officially named “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl” plots its premieres on the BBC and Netflix this winter.
The latest of the award-winning, British stop-motion franchise, “Vengeance Most Fowl” will follow a concerned Gromit, who thinks Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions. When Wallace winds up inventing a “smart” gnome with a mind of its own, he fears the vengeful Feathers McGraw may be masterminding things. It’s up to Gromit “to battle sinister forces and save his master… or Wallace may never be able to invent again.”

Written by Mark Burton and directed by Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham, “Vengeance Most Fowl” will include the voiceover cast of Ben Whitehead, Peter Kay, Lauren Patel, Reece Shearsmith, Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh, Muzz Khan, and Lenny Henry.
An official Netflix premiere date will be announced later, but the film is scheduled to fly to the BBC first on Christmas.
Tony Awards Announce Performances and Pre-Show Hosts
The stage is officially set for Broadway’s biggest night!
Pluto TV has announced that stage and screen stars Julianne Hough and Utkarsh Ambudkar will host this year’s “The Tony Awards: Act One,” the pre-show airing on the free streamer ahead of the award ceremony. Live from the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, where this year’s Tony Awards will be held, the stream will include exclusive content, including performances, and the presentation of a first round of awards exclusive to Pluto TV’s stream. Hough has hosted the “Act One” pre-show since 2022, with Ambudkar making his hosting debut.
Viewers can watch “The Tony Awards: Act One” for free at Pluto TV (no account required) beginning on Sunday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m./3:30 p.m. ET.
Then, head to Paramount+ for the 77th Annual Tony Awards, hosted for the third year in a row by Oscar winner and Tony nominee Ariana DeBose. Newly announced, this year’s ceremony, which will recognize and honor the performances and artistry of the 2023–2024 Broadway season, will feature performances from the casts of Tony Award nominees, including:
- “Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club” with nominees Gayle Rankin and Eddie Redmayne
- “Hell’s Kitchen” featuring the music of producer Alicia Keys, with nominees Shoshana Bean, Brandon Victor Dixon, Kecia Lewis, and Maleah Joi Moon

- “The Who’s Tommy” featuring music of Pete Townsend and The Who

Max Announces “Gremlins: The Wild Batch” Season 2
They’ve multiplied!
The Max animated series “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai” will return for a second season this fall titled “Gremlins: The Wild Batch.”
The news came ahead of the 40th anniversary of the original “Gremlins” film, which was released by Warner Bros. in theaters on June 8, 1984. Season 2 of the acclaimed animated prequel series will follow “Gizmo, Sam, and Elle as they travel from their home in Shanghai to San Francisco, bringing even more magic, mystery, and Mogwai mayhem. Hot on the trail of a new brood of evil Mogwai, our heroes journey deep into the American West, coming up against new supernatural creatures and picking up a few mysterious characters along the way.”

The returning voice cast will include series regulars Ming-Na Wen, James Hong, BD Wong, Izaac Wang, AJ LoCascio, and Gabrielle Nevaeh. The all-star Season 2 guest cast will be announced at a later date, as will the official premiere date.
Apple TV+ Renews “Palm Royale”

Apple TV+ has announced a Season 2 renewal for its period dramedy series “Palm Royale,” starring Kristen Wiig as a woman desperate to break into Palm Beach high society in 1969 at the town’s most exclusive club.

Netflix Announces “Peaky Blinders” Film
Months after his Oscar win for “Oppenheimer,” it’s Thomas Shelby that’s piqued Cillian Murphy’s interest again.
The actor will return to star in a new “Peaky Blinders” film at Netflix, officially greenlit at the streamer and made in association with BBC Film.
Series creator Steven Knight will write the saga’s continuation. Set in 1900s Birmingham, the series, which ran from 2013 to 2022 on the streamer, followed the exploits of the title fictional gang in the aftermath of World War I. In addition to Murphy, the ensemble cast featured Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Annabelle Wallis, Iddo Sophie Rundle, Joe Cole, Ned Dennehy, Benjamin Zephaniah, and more.

The currently untitled project will be directed by Tom Harper, who helmed episodes in the show’s first season. Plot details and further casting remain under wraps. The film is expected to go into production later this year.
