Last week, Disney+ announced that it will support four simultaneous streamers, up to 7 profiles, 4K streaming, and includes hundreds of avatars.
But, one of the big advantages to Disney+ is that the service will offer Unlimited Downloads of all shows and movies, on up to 10 devices. The only limit being the storage capacity on your device.
But, given that Disney+ won’t be available worldwide until 2021 — many wondered what would happen when you left the country.
1. Downloaded Content will Work Anywhere
According to Disney, all content already downloaded to your device will work just like you’re at home. This means, even if you leave the country, even if Disney+ isn’t available in where you’re going, or a specific show has yet to become available in that country — you can still watch it on your smartphone or tablet.
2. If Disney+ is Available Where You’re Traveling
Disney+ will launch in Canada and Netherlands on the same day as the U.S., and New Zealand and Australia the week later. Over the course of the next year, it will become available in most of Western Europe.
If you visit a country where Disney+ is available, you will be able to watch shows and movies even if you didn’t already download them. However, you will only be able to access the shows and movies that Disney has acquired rights for in that area.
3. If Disney+ Isn’t Available Where You’re Traveling
Disney+ will expand around the world over the next two years, but if you visit a place that Disney+ isn’t available you will be limited to watching what you already downloaded. If you haven’t downloaded a show or movie, you won’t be able to watch or download new content until you return home.
