“Seven Worlds, One Planet” couldn’t be coming at a more timely moment. The documentary series, which highlights wildlife in each of the seven continents, is kicking off with a look into Australian wildlife prior to the wildfire outbreaks.

“Seven Worlds, One Planet” takes the format of other documentary series such as “Life” and “Planet Earth,” but it focuses on the importance of nature and how its being affected by climate change. The “Australia” episode covers “a land cast adrift at the time of the dinosaurs. Here, kangaroos and wombats brave snowstorms and gum tree forests are filled with never-before-seen predators,” according to BBC America.
Koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, wild budgies, dingoes and jumping spiders are prominently featured in the first episode, NPR reports.
“Seven World’s, One Planet” is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and executive produced by Scott Alexander.
