BET+ ad-supported Essential plan now available for purchase on Roku Channel
The plan joins BET+’s Premium ad-free plan, allowing viewers to choose which tier of service they prefer when signing up through Roku Channel.
[The Roku Channel] is an incredibly convenient way to add new streaming subscriptions. It allows viewers to sign up for top streamers through its interface, making it easier to keep track of bills by keeping all paid streaming accounts on a single platform. Viewers now have a new streaming plan to add to their collection on The Roku Channel, as BET+ has announced it will begin distributing its ad-supported Essential plan there.

Fans of BET+ can now sign up for its Essential plan on the Roku Channel starting at just $6 per month. There’s no extra charge to subscribe to BET+ through The Roku Channel, and you’ll be able to stream it from any Roku device you have in your home.
In addition to the ad-supported Essential plan, Roku Channel allows its viewers to sign up for the ad-free BET+ Premium plan as well. This costs $10 per month, and offers the same content library, but omits the commercials before and during playback.
The addition of BET+ means that Roku Channel now offers more than 55 premium streaming subscriptions for viewers to subscribe to. The platform has been busy adding more such subscriptions of late; just last week, Roku Channel welcomed the ad-supported plan of Max.
Roku Channel often launches ad-free plans for its streaming partners before ad-supported plans. Usually, this is because it takes Roku a little longer to negotiate how much ad revenue it will make from every ad-supported partner subscription sold on its aggregator.
BET+ offers more than 2,000 hours of content on both of its streaming plans. Content creators like Tyler Perry, Gabrielle Union, Lee Daniels, Mary J. Blige, Kevin Hart, Kenya Barris, and more bring their shows and movies to the service, which boasts a huge selection of original, Black content for audiences to enjoy.
