“Coco” is a Pixar animation film that follows Miguel — voiced by Anthony Gonzalez — as he breaks tradition and follows his dream of becoming a musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. In his quest to uncover his history, Miguel encounters Hector — played by Gael Garcia Bernal — a charming trickster, who “helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions.” The film also stars Benjamin Bratt, Alanna Ubach, Renne Victor and Jamie Camil.
The news comes as Disney is gearing up for the European launch of Disney+ on March 24. The company has signed various distribution deals, including one with Comcast-owned Sky, to bring the streaming service to Sky Q and Now TV in the UK and Ireland.
The media giant also signed another multi-year distribution deal with the Spanish telecom company, Telefónica, which will see Disney+ launch on Movistar when it debuts in the country.
Earlier this week, news came out that the streamer partnered with O2, making it the exclusive UK mobile network distributor.
