Confirmed: DIRECTV STREAM, Sling Customers Can Watch NBA League Pass Subscriptions on Peloton
If you bought your NBA League Pass subscription through a Sling TV or DIRECTV add-on, you’ll be able to enjoy the service on Peloton just like direct subscribers.
Third-party authentication can be tricky. From the customer’s perspective, there should be no problem in allowing them to access their favorite streaming apps on any compatible device, no matter which third party sold them that subscription in the first place. Unfortunately, some devices only support the use of apps subscribed to on that particular player, leaving customers scratching their heads on how to access their streamers.
- Peloton is launching support for NBA League Pass, which will allow users to watch out-of-market games and other content while they work out.
- DIRECTV and Sling TV have both confirmed to The Streamable that users who buy League Pass through them will be able to watch the service on Peloton.
- Deals are available on both Sling and DIRECTV STREAM if users are looking for a new live TV service.

It’s All Going to Work Out
Users of NBA League Pass who subscribed to the service through DIRECTV or Sling TV won’t have to worry about accessing their subscription on Peloton devices, however. Spokespeople for DIRECTV and Sling have confirmed to The Streamable that Peloton will allow such users to authenticate their League Pass subscription on Peloton devices for watching live NBA games on their workout machines.
The news first broke last week that Peloton had agreed to a deal with the NBA and WNBA to serve up live out-of-market games through the League Pass on its compatible devices. Along with live games, users will notice NBA-themed workouts on Peloton machines, as well as new fitness and health instructional videos from NBA trainers and coaches on the NBA app.
Users can purchase NBA League Pass through Sling, DIRECTV, or digital platforms like Prime Video. Fans can also sign up to League Pass directly; the service costs $14.99 per month/$99.99 per season for ad-supported streaming, or $22.99 per month/$149.99 for ad-free streaming on up to three devices at a time. Customers can also purchase a single-team NBA League Pass plan for $89.99 per season.
Are There Any Current Deals on Sling TV or DIRECTV STREAM?
DIRECTV STREAM offers the same channels and third-party apps as satellite DIRECTV does but without bulky equipment or long-term contracts. Plans for this service start at $74.99, but DIRECTV STREAM is currently offering a deal in which new customers will save $10 per month for their first three months of service )$30 total value).
The service is also giving customers who opt for the Choice ($99.99 per month) or Ultimate ($109.99) plans the opportunity to subscribe to the Sports add-on pack for free for one month (a $14.99 value). This pack features the NFL RedZone channel, NBA TV, college sports channels such as Big Ten Network, SEC Network, and much more.

Sling TV is running two promotions, both for new subscribers. The first allows new users to take 50% off their first month of Sling TV. That lowers your price to $20 if you pick Sling’s Orange or Blue channel package, or to $27.50 if you go with the combined Sling Orange and Blue plan.
The second deal is a bit of a longer commitment, but it will help you save serious money on NBA League Pass. Sling is allowing new subscribers to sign up for a bundle of one of its plans with NBA League Pass for a six-month term, all paid upfront. These plans start at $270, but breaking down the math of that comes to $45 for six months. That essentially means you’re only paying $5 per month for NBA League Pass, which is a 66% discount off what you’ll pay if you sign up for the service directly.
