FanDuel Sports Network is Live - What to Know About the Bally Sports+ Replacement

If you love watching your local NBA, MLB, or NHL team, you have a new streamer in the mix: FanDuel Sports Network. The service replaces Bally Sports+, though not all teams previously available with Bally have transitioned to FanDuel.

What Teams Are Available on FanDuel Sports Network?

The current lineup features 13 NBA teams, 8 NHL teams, and 8 MLB teams. You must live within the broadcast areas of these teams to access the service.

NBA NHL MLB
Atlanta Hawks Carolina Hurricanes Atlanta Braves
Charlotte Hornets Columbus Blue Jackets Cincinnati Reds
Cleveland Cavaliers Detroit Red Wings Detroit Tigers
Detroit Pistons Los Angeles Kings Kansas City Royals
Indiana Pacers Minnesota Wild Los Angeles Angels
LA Clippers Nashville Predators Miami Marlins
Memphis Grizzlies St. Louis Blues St. Louis Cardinals
Miami Heat Tampa Bay Lightning Tampa Bay Rays
Milwaukee Bucks
Minnesota Timberwolves
Oklahoma City Thunder
Orlando Magic
San Antonio Spurs

How Can You See Which Teams Are Available in Your Area?

Jump over to the FanDuel Sports Network site and punch in your zip code. Your viewing options will appear.

What Does FanDuel Sports Network Cost?

FanDuel Sports Network is $19.99 / month. You can save with the annual plan for $189.99 / year. A Season Pass is available for $124.99.

In some areas, you may have access to more than one FanDuel market. If so, you can bundle the two for $29.99/month.

Can You Watch FanDuel Sports Network for Free?

Yes! Give it a try free for 7 days. You can also access the channels free with a trial of DIRECTV STREAM or Fubo.

Can You Watch FanDuel Sports Network Channels with Other TV Providers?

DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo both offer the FanDuel channels. We recommend DIRECTV STREAM for the most comprehensive regional sports lineup. After a free trial, you’d need to pay $114.99 for DIRECTV STREAM or $94.99 for Fubo.

The benefit of choosing one of these services is that you’ll also get national games on channels like ABC and ESPN when available. (Fubo does not carry TNT or TBS, but DIRECTV STREAM does.) You cannot watch nationally televised games with the standalone FanDuel Sports Network streamer.

You cannot watch the FanDuel channels on Hulu Live TV, Philo or YouTube TV

How Can You Watch FanDuel Teams Out-of-Market?

If your team has an away game, you’ll need a different service to watch the game.

  • NHL fans can watch 1,000+ out-of-market contests with ESPN+.
  • NBA teams broadcast out-of-market games with NBA League Pass.
  • MLB teams offer their out-of-market games on MLB.TV.

Unfortunately, there are no price-saving bundles that allow you to pair FanDuel with one of those streamers. They are separate products.

Will FanDuel Sports Network Add More Teams?

The trend would suggest FanDuel will not add more teams. Each year, more NBA and NHL teams are breaking away to form their own streamers like Altitude+, MavsTV, Panthers+, Suns Live, and UtahHC+.

If your team isn’t currently covered by FanDuel, it is unlikely it will move to the service in the future.

Will FanDuel Sports Network Lose Teams?

It seems very likely FanDuel will lose more teams in the coming months. In fact, the service’s parent company only has rights to two MLB teams for next season: the Braves and Marlins. Of the baseball teams we listed above, some are sure to break free for an over-the-air option or a standalone streamer.

Of the teams that abandoned FanDuel’s predecessor, all have seen increased ratings after making their broadcasts more widely available.

If you want to watch FanDuel for the current NHL and NBA season, it’s safe to sign up now. If you want to watch your favorite baseball team on FanDuel, we recommend waiting closer to the start of the next baseball season before making the commitment.

FanDuel Sports Network

FanDuel Sports Network is a direct-to-consumer streaming service that offers live games for those who want access to your local FanDuel Sports Network RSN without subscribing to a cable or satellite package.

The service has two plans: a monthly plan for $19.99 a month, or an annual plan for $189.99 per year ($15.83/mo pre-paid annually), after a 7-Day Free Trial.

In areas where fans have access to more than one FanDuel Sports Network sports network, an optional bundle allows the addition of a second channel. The monthly total for two RSNs is $29.99/month.

With the service, you can stream your local games from 13 NBA teams, 8 NHL teams, and 8 MLB teams. See the list below.

The service is only intended for those who live in-market to their local teams. If you live out-of-market, you will need to subscribe to MLB.TV (MLB), ESPN+ (NHL), or NBA League Pass (NBA).
