How to stream the works of the late David Lynch, who died at 78

The Oscar and Emmy-nominated auteur has been on the cutting edge of film and television for decades.

Hollywood has lost one of the most influential filmmakers of the past half-century. Surrealist visionary David Lynch died on Thursday, Jan. 16 at the age of 78 leaving behind a legacy and library of storytelling experimentation that has inspired generations of filmmakers and audiences. Starting with his first film, “Eraserhead” in 1977, Lynch pushed the boundaries of what popular film and TV looked like.

Throughout his career, the auteur was nominated for four Academy Awards, four Golden Globes, and five Emmys. His projects are often characterized by having a nearly dream-like quality and an enveloping sound design. Lynch’s bizarre, off-beat mystery series “Twin Peaks” premiered in 1990 before wrapping up initially the following year. A film continuation “Fire Walk With Me,” premiered in 1992, and Lynch returned to the titular Pacific Northwest town in 2017 for a third official season.

Whether it is his take on the stage classic “The Elephant Man,” his iconic adaptation of “Dune,” or his modern classic “Mulholland Drive,” the works of David Lynch were always revolutionary, imaginative, and compelling.

In honor of the legend, we have rounded up how you can stream all of his works. Godspeed, Mr. Lynch.
