Frndly TV Launches MeTV+ a Day Early for Subscribers
The MeTV+ channel is now available for Frndly TV users, after first being announced as a new addition to the platform last month.
The slimmed-down live TV streaming service Frndly TV got a little bulkier this week. The service announced on social media that it was launching the new MeTV+ channel for all subscribers on Tuesday, Oct. 3, which is a day earlier than originally scheduled.

The addition makes Frndly TV the first live TV platform to carry the MeTV+ network. The streamer already carries its sister channel MeTV, but now users will have access to even more in the way of their favorite classic TV shows such as “Gilligan's Island,” “Gunsmoke,” “The Love Boat,” “The Waltons” and others. MeTV+ will offer these shows 24 hours a day, so fans of the classic genre will always have something to watch, without having to spend a bunch of time deciding what they’ll be viewing next.
“We are excited to add MeTV+ which has been highly requested by our customers,” Frndly TV co-founder and chief programming officer Michael McKenna said when the addition was first announced. “While MeTV+ is currently available in some local markets, with Frndly TV’s launch of MeTV+, classic TV lovers will be able to enjoy more great classic programming via this popular channel nationwide.”
Frndly TV is one of the so-called “skinny” live TV services. It offers more than 40 channels, all of which are appropriate for the whole family. Highlights on the service include A&E, the Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, Great American Family and many networks dedicated to offering the best in family-friendly entertainment.
Prices for the service start at just $6.99 per month for a single stream in standard definition. For just $2 per month more, customers can upgrade to the Classic plan and improve their video quality to full HD, as well as add a second simultaneous stream as well as unlimited DVR for three months. If you opt for the $10.99 monthly Premium plan, you’ll get all the features of the Classic tier and increase your simultaneous streams to four, in addition to the ability to keep your DVR recordings for nine months.

Frndly TV is a live TV streaming service with over 40 channels for $7.99/month. Each plan is designed to provide a skinny bundle of family-friendly channels at a reasonable price. The service will appeal most to fans of Hallmark channels. It does not offer news, sports, or local channels.
