"A Merry Scottish Christmas" airs as part of Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Television fans of a certain age should be giving the Hallmark Channel a special thanks as they are reuniting two of the stars of one of the most popular family dramas of the late-1990s, “Party of Five,” it just so happens that both said stars happen to be regulars in the Hallmark movie rotation. In “A Merry Scottish Christmas” — as they did on “Party of Five” — Scott Wolf and Lacey Chabert play brother and sister, but unlike as the Bailey and Claudia Salinger, these siblings do not have the best of relationships. However, when they travel to Scotland to visit their mother for Christmas, a major secret is revealed that just might repair their fractured relationship. “A Merry Scottish Christmas” is the first of two movies that Lacey Chabert has on Hallmark’s 2023 Countdown to Christmas slate, and the other is a reunion of sorts as well. Following up last year’s runaway hit “Haul Out the Holly,” she is reuniting with the peculiarly Christmas-obsessed HOA for “Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up.” Returning for the highly anticipated sequel will be Wes Brown, Stephen Tobolowsky, Melissa Peterman, and many other familiar faces from last year’s film.

While this is Wolf’s only Christmas movie of the season, he was last seen on Hallmark in 2019’s “A Christmas Love Story” starring opposite Tony Award-winner Kristen Chenoweth.
